Peerbound x Granola Integration Instructions
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Step-by-Step Instructions
Before you start: what Peerbound can sync
Connecting Granola requires a Business or Enterprise plan, and a Granola workspace admin to create the API key.
Granola notes are private by default. Peerbound can sync calls that are:
In a folder visible to everyone in your workspace, such as the Team space
In a space with Granola API access turned on
Private notes, and folders that haven't been shared in one of these ways, won't sync. We recommend creating a space for customer calls and having your team save every customer call there.
1. Open the Integrations Page in Peerbound
In the Peerbound app, navigate to the Integrations page.
2. Enable the Granola Integration
Click the + Enable button next to the Granola integration.
You will be prompted to enter your Granola API Key.
3. Create a Workspace API Key in Granola
A Granola workspace admin should:
Open the Granola desktop app
Go to:
Settings → Connectors → Workspace API keys
Click Create new key
Copy the API key
Workspace API keys belong to your workspace rather than an individual, so they don't expire and keep working even if the admin who created them leaves.
4. Connect to Granola
Paste the API Key into the corresponding field in Peerbound and click Connect to Granola.
5. Integration Complete
Once connected, Peerbound will begin syncing your Granola notes and transcripts and identifying valuable customer proof. No further action is required.
Permissions
Peerbound needs read access to your meeting notes and transcripts. For calls to sync, check the following:
Public notes: make sure Allow public folders is turned on for your workspace. If it's off, notes in public folders aren't visible to the API.
New spaces: Allow Granola API access is on by default when a space is created. Leave it on for any space you want Peerbound to sync.
Existing spaces: a workspace admin can enable access by opening the space, clicking Integrations in the space header, choosing Granola API, and switching on Allow access with a workspace API key.
Folders inherit their API access setting from the space they're in.
How Granola Works with Peerbound
Unlike our other integrations, Granola doesn't connect to your calling platform. Instead, it listens locally on your computer. In its most basic form, that means it can only tell "you" (audio from your microphone) apart from "them" (audio from your speakers).
However, Granola recently introduced speaker tags, which identify who's speaking on the call. The more calls that have it enabled, the better our integration works. Setup depends on your calling platform:
Deploying speaker tags company-wide (for Granola admins)
Speaker tags only apply to calls transcribed after they're turned on. They don't add names to older transcripts.
Granola also shares speaker names as they appear in the call, along with invitee emails, which we do our best to match to the right people. That's how we know who's speaking.
